COLLEAGUE VOLUNTEERS ON CHRISTMAS DAY

COLLEAGUE VOLUNTEERS ON CHRISTMAS DAY

On Christmas day, our colleague, Sharon, spent the day volunteering at an event organised by the local churches to provide Christmas dinner to members of the local community who may otherwise spend the day on their own.

Held at the newly built Elleray Community Centre in the heart of Teddington, guests were provided with a fabulous Christmas dinner alongside a choice of puddings, wine, drinks, cakes and teas and coffees as well as a gift and goodie bag with donated items for everyone in attendance. Music was also provided on the piano and all was quiet for the King’s speech.

After collecting and driving some local residents to the centre, Sharon spent the day helping to serve and entertain the guests, including calling the raffle. Sharon also aided in delivering meals to some local residents that are house bound.

The community centre was also visited by Liberal Democrat MP for Twickenham, Munira Wilson, who thanked all the volunteers for giving up their Christmas day and helping in the festivities.

Sharon said that it was a fulfilling experience giving something back to the local area where she lives and works.

Well done to Sharon for her wonderful acts of selflessness and generosity towards the community! 👏💝
