It is always nice to start the year with good news, and we are pleased to share how one of our team members had a fantastic time volunteering in Zambia, contributing to meaningful projects and connecting with the incredible local community. The Zambian people’s warmth, joy, and resilience left a lasting impression on her.As part of a team of 42 volunteers, Maryna built a four-classroom block, raising the walls to roof height in just six days alongside a skilled team of builders. Some of the group, including medical and dental professionals, provided care to over 500 patients during three days of clinics.
Each student at Sala School received a backpack filled with school supplies—1400 in total! Maryna commented; “Watching the joy on their faces as they received these essentials was truly unforgettable.”
Maryna’s experience ended with a safari in Botswana’s Chobe National Park and a visit to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, one of the seven natural wonders of the world!
